What is IoT Gateway

It is predicted that by 2030, 24.1 billion devices are going to flood the IoT space. IoT devices also form networks among themselves so that they become manageable self groups. Majority of these devices are going to be edge nodes with minimal processing and power resources at their disposal, thereby restricting them to just sensing the environment parameters that they are designed for. Edge nodes are therefore heavily handicapped to protect themselves against any sort of attacks. It is important to mask them so that they remain invisible to the outside world.

Gateway

Gateway is an advanced platform, which bridges low end IoT devices to AIoTM. It can handle heterogeneous protocols such as TCP/IP, Zigbee, Bluetooth, IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/(WiFi), 6LoWPAN and UPnp. A-Gway is ideal for building real time applications. It also ensures Secure Communication between AIoTm & Connected Devices. A Gateway for IoT (Internet of Things) often referred to as a Universal Gateway, can communicate with any type of device inside a sub network and fetch data from those diverse set of devices and push it to upper layers for further processing and analysis.
